As he was picked up after an overnight on his long journey:
We just took him out and he had pee right away. He is so cute. We love him he's beautiful. He was giving kisses right away lol. We are leaving to go home now. Thank you so much for everything!
4/13/10 Good Morning Lora,
Just stopping by to give you an update on Louie. He is doing great!! We LOVE him! I have to admit, it was a little scary during the whole process because we weren't really sure what to expect. However, we knew that we both had tons of love to give and we both very excited to meet him. I have to first off Thank-You, your husband, and your children for Louie. We can really see how much time, effort and affection you gave him. He was well-cared for. He is the cutest! Both Shane and I immediately fell in love with him and instantly got attached. He has adapted well. From the very first day he has shown much affection and great loyalty to us both. He has yet to cry and he LOVES sleeping in the bed!! He is a big sook! He has only had a couple of accidents. However, during the night when he knows he has to "use the bathroom" he wakes and licks your face to let us know he has to go. :) We couldn't have asked for any better. He has a great temperament and is full of energy. I know that he will be with us for life and you have our 100% honesty that he will be treated with nothing but love and affection. We had to wrap his ears again. One ear, as you know, was standing but the other was folding. We will take them off again today to see how they have progressed. We were both beginners at wrapping but with little hastle from him we got them wrapped and since he hasn't bothered them much. We have taken a lot of pictures thus far and I will be sure to send some to you. We have little training to do when walking with the leash and chewing but he has shown us that he is a great listener and is VERY smart so, I think, we are going to try training on our own without any obedience classes. Once again, I have to Thank-You for a great companion. I have raved about your honesty and dedication as a breeder. I know of some who have already looked at your website and are very interested in future companionship. I have to thank-you for your time you have taken to go the extra step to get Louie to us in Canada. If at any time you have any questions about him feel free to ask!!
Thank-You!
Jacqueline
4/15/10: Hey Lora,
Yes Louie is doing great. He isnt too bad with his ears. He dosent even bother with them much at all. Over the last few days we had him to the barn to see the horses and walked the track. Yesterday he was at the ballfield for a little run and some digging ..lol. He has half of the fetch figured out. He dosent return the ball yet but thatll come..lol. Its still fairly cold here so I only has him out on the warmer days and when its cooler we just go out for a little while. Just till it heats up. There was even a little snow yesterday morning. I hope thats the last of it. I put a couple pictures up on my facebook page and he got lots of comments from my friends. Everyone wants to drop by to see him. lol. I will send you some pics when we get a better day. My grandfather even calls to check up and see how Louies doing..lol Hes pretty popular.lol He knows him name pretty well by now too. Thanks for starting that for us.
Thanks Shane.
5/13/10: Hello! Just stopping by to give you an update on Louie. He is growing sooo fast! When we had him to the vet 2 weeks ago, to get his needle, he was 28lbs. The vet loved him and really thought his ears looked good. He said the vet who done them, done a really good job!! He is now fully trained and scratches at the door to go out. He has such a great and friendly personality. He gets along great with other dogs and he loves kids!! Attached are some pictures, some more recent than others. As well, we would like, if possible, to post some pics on your site. We have been getting alot of compliments on Louie and are always asked where we got him. You may have some future "Canadians" interested in puppies. Thank-You for all the information you have sent. We just recieved it today.
Louie says "hi" and he misses you all! :)
Regards,
Shane & Jacqueline
